I have tried every where to find a car cover for my new 2005 Cabrio. Mini Mania, R Speed, Moss, My Mini Dealer, etc... and no luck.

Any suggestions? My Cabrio currently sits in our apartment garage for the winter (Cleveland is bruttal). Lately, I am seeing drips from dirty pipes hitting the car. I need a really good car cover to protect my baby.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Everyone tells me I should get one specifically sized for it. The problem is that the Cabrio is so new, no one has one. I have been warned to stay away from stock ones.

Help please!

Sorry I don't live closer
Wedge, I can't imagine that the cover for a hardtop MINI wouldn't fit. Other than the Antenae placement there shouldn't be to many dimensional changes. At least not enough. I use my MINI car cover and I have a roof rack. It's a little short on the bottom now but still very effective in protecting the car. Wish I lived closer so we could test my theory with my cover. Anyone live near Wedge that has a cover he can try?

Go to coverking.com. They just started making a cabrio cover. They also make the cab covers (only the glass and roof) for Moss.

Our Mini dealer gave the Cabrio cover as a freebie @ time of pick up. The Cover for the Cabrio is different from other covers so don't waste money on something that "might fit" . We were the first to order the cover and had to wait three days before get it. The parts people were a little confused about the new cover. The regular Mini cover will not fit. The Cover is veryyyyyyy easy to put on and to remove (you must remove the antenna).

The "regular" Mini cover will fit. My cabrio was stuck at the dealership because the windshield was being replaced. They put the cover that has the zipper on it without any problem, just unscrew the antenna.

The zipper cover is an indoor dust cover, not water resistant. I tried the coverking cab cover that was for the hardtop and it was sized to include the rear spoiler...so it was a baggy fit and the rear antenna sock looked lame.

Here is the Cabrio cover. It's so easy to put on and remove. Has a Mini Logo in the front and a window for the tag in the back.

hmmm
Should you really have to take the antenna off each time you want to put the cover on? That is more of a pain then its worth.

This looks a lot better. Where's the cover from and what antenna did you get? I tried a 1.2" and reception fell off a lot.

the cover was made by a friend that owns a cover shop and is on vaca so, he told me to wait tell he get back for pricing . the cover on my car was custom made for the short antenna but are made standered with the long antenna pouch. l like how it almost covers all of the car and tires The antenna was an after through when l was in the bmw dealer and asked to see there smaller antenna's and found that the one that the 5 and 7 seires car use for there phone works great , you just have to make a standered adapter at the base of the antenna witch l found a ace hardward and it the same color. look like a factory antenna and work great.l've had very little problems. the works.
