2007 Sidewalk EML and SES light

Hi just started happening with the weather change. I do not have a loss of power and the super charger oil was changed a few years ago as was the damper pulley

any other reason I think I need a new gas cap would that cause an EML?

Thanks

The light came on once in my wife's, when I drove it a bit hard. Was off the next day. Seems like just one of the many Mini gremlims to deal with.

OK I have some codes P1498 which reads as an air leak at the compressor (supercharger I assume)

then the ABS codes

5E5C
5E19
5D91
5DA1

I got two new (bosch) speed sensors and for the most part the trifecta is gone but it has come on on one drive cycle since the repair

any thoughts on how to proceed with the air leak and how serious ?? car drives and feels fine.

Moving you to the Stock Problems/Issues area.

Have you checked to make sure the boots on either end of supercharger are in place correctly?

No and to be honest not sure I am understanding what "boots" you are referring to? the tubing running to and from the intercooler?

Thanks

The boots are the black rubber sections at both ends of the supercharger. The speed sensors are light blue tubes about 3" long and are at each wheel. The brake pad wear sensor is at the driver front and passenger rear.

Those boots can leak and then you loose boost. I again would check those first and the clamps to them.
