I just picked up an 06 Pepper White JCW R52. I am putting the plate on with a tow hook mount. I was going to fill in the previous plate mounting screw holes in the front. Since that will require a respray, I'm am considering buying the OEM aero front bumper which is primed and needs painting. Are there any other trim pieces required when converting to this bumper?
In the ECS description the mounting kit looks like it's included. The fog light trim is not "needed" as it's an optional trim piece. The wheel arches are molded into the bumper which can be painted with the special textured MINI black paint... not sure if it's still available though. The lower spoiler from the standard bumper isn't used. Look at some pics of cars with the aero bumper and you'll see how it all works.

I have not been able to find a closeup picture of the bumper that clearly shows the wheel arch transition to the lower part of the bumper. I guess I will have to keep my eyes open while walking through parking lots for an R52/53 w/ Aero front so I can snap some closeups!
Not sure what you're looking for. Do these help? The bumper is one piece and the arch trim is just painted with textured black paint to match the non-aero trim. There's a seam you can see continuing from the arch in the primered pic which is the paint line for the black. Towards the center of the bumper the seam just stops... is this the transition your wondering about?
Picture number 2 explains it. The orange light is built into the bumper and the black textured paint makes it look like the fender arch trim on the hood continues down under the front valance. I imagine it will be a pretty expensive paint job to paint the bumper Pepper White and the trim section textured black to match the black trim.
I have a parts list totaling $587 + shipping before the paint job. This may be a $1,500 project.
I didn't realize I posted euro aero bumpers without the running lights in 1 & 3... glad #2 was a US bumper and helpful. I think the MINI textured paint is no longer available. Some people are using SEM 39853. Here's a link to the installation instructions and the part numbers for the MINI textured paint.
Thanks. Adds cost if just doing the front bumper of course. I was doing the full kit so it was the same money to do them vs painting the black trim on skirts and both bumpers..
