Hey all,
So I've had to reset an oil change reminder since local shop didn't do it when they changed oil.

I've found the procedure on this site and reset the reminder. However instead of saying Oil and then the number of miles left, it now says "Inspection 15500".


Does it mean it reset successfully? Why is it talking about inspection now?

that's right .. the counter will alternate between oil service and inspection .... the basic rotation is an inspection every other oil change.

This link shows three different ways to do it (some cars can be a little finicky about the reset, and I believe the process changed over the years.)
