I have an opportunity to buy a used Milltek cat back exhaust which is on an 03 coupe and was wondering if this can be installed on my 08 cabrio?

 

I think the Milltek catback for the cabrio has a slight bend in the lower down pipe portion to accomidate some under bracing for the cabrio. So the catback for the non-cab probably will not fit your cab (however, the Milltek made for the cab does fit a non-cab).

 

That's my understanding as well. Also, the older coupes have different a hangar configuration. My question is can these hurdles be overcome at a competent shop? and is it easy to do or will it prove to be expensive never work right.

 

I agree with ej. The milltek won't work on the cabrio but yes a competent shop can do the work. Also, the milltek has fitment issues with the M7 USS. If you already have the M7 USS, don't go milltek.

 

Thanks Ev. I spoke to a reputable muffler shop (does a lot of custom work)and they told me no problem on getting it to work. I don't have a USS, so no problem there. So, I'm going for it next week I'll let you know how I make out once it's done.
