Windscreen squirrel effect

Yes, another windscreen post....

Lately my factory windscreen has been doing an uncanny imitation of a hormonal squirrel. Something behind the passenger's seat, near the hinge starts to squeak like mad as I increase the speed of the car. In low speeds, I just reach back and fold it flat, but once I get up around 50, I figure I can put up with the squeak to avoid the wind turbulence.

Has anyone else had this problem? Do you think a shot of either graphite or WD40 in the hinge region would make the squirrel quiet again?

You sure you're not running over them?

No, I have run flats. I can tell what year a dime was minted after I run over it.

Not me. Probably just a bunch of annoying chirping. Fuzzy nut munchers, them.

I spent a lot of time in the woods as a youth....

Any ideas on the best way to stop the squeaking? It's driving me nuts (pun intended).

No, but I am trying to learn to speak whale. With my size and pale color, I fear harpoons.
