R52 Windscreen squirrel effect
Windscreen squirrel effect
Yes, another windscreen post....
Lately my factory windscreen has been doing an uncanny imitation of a hormonal squirrel. Something behind the passenger's seat, near the hinge starts to squeak like mad as I increase the speed of the car. In low speeds, I just reach back and fold it flat, but once I get up around 50, I figure I can put up with the squeak to avoid the wind turbulence.
Has anyone else had this problem? Do you think a shot of either graphite or WD40 in the hinge region would make the squirrel quiet again?

Any ideas on the best way to stop the squeaking? It's driving me nuts (pun intended).

No, but I am trying to learn to speak whale. With my size and pale color, I fear harpoons.
