That really sucks about Nano. Like everyone else had already said, the main thing is that you guys are OK. We were up there the same time as you guys were. That Sunday morning we got gas by the McDonalds. I showed my wife the pictures of Nano all banged up and she said "oh my G-d" I was just talking to that guy as he walked into McDonalds.

Oh wow. I've been driving Fiona, and been okay with that. And the Suburban..feh, no problem. But Matt brought Dawn home, and I got to drive her yesterday, and I was a little nervous. Felt a little too much like Nano, and the last time I drove...well.... So I look over, and Matt has a death grip on the "oh sh*t" door handle", all white knuckled. I asked him if he was nervous, and he said "a little". I told him he wasn't helping. LOL.

I can tell you it will eventually go away. (it's been almost a year since my accident and I haven't felt that way for a while).

Bourbon helps with that. Trust me.
Remember Kara - all you did was drop a wheel off the pavement while a little hot in a corner. Zillions of people do that every week... you just had the bad luck for it to happen in the worst possible place, and with a pretty extreme outcome. I'd rate that 10% driver, 90% road conditions - the Dragon takes no prisoners... unless your normal driving behavior is weaving in and out of SUVs on the freeway... in that case tell Matt to have another bourbon.
Relax and enjoy Dawn. Things happen for a reason.

No, I didn't drop a wheel off the pavement. All four wheels were safe and secure in my lane when I went off the road. All four wheels decided to slide off the road at once. It was 100% driver error. But that said, I guarantee I won't make that mistake again, and maybe a purple flask is my next addition to Dawn. I can offer a shot to Matt when he rides along. LOL.

Hey Matt and Kara- Blimey told me the story of Dawn while we were at the fall dragon get together (MSSD)-I found it pretty touching and one of those "meant to be" type of things. The way this came to be is tragic on both sides but some good came out of it in the end and that's pretty special. I don't recall ever seeing a purple haze cabrio before-I would think it's pretty rare. Got any pics?

Yes! The plate says "Nano Car"! LOL. Nano rides again! I know lots of you suggested we not use the same name, but really, it was the NAM community that named that car, not us. We like the plate so much, we are keeping it (not to mention we have the British plate that matches, and we're too cheap to buy yet another one of those....ha).
