What sort of headgear is appropriate with the Cabrio

After having taken delivery of Dorcas, my pretty cool blue Cabrio, in South Carolina and driven it home to Florida, one of the old convertible problems came up. Namely the sun! What sort of headgear is appropriate for this fine car? I mean one just can't put on a baseball cap with "CAT" stitched on.

anything that'll stay on during spirited driving. I prefer the Scotish/British sportsmans hat. Low profile, good in the wind.

I have my custom MINI Union Jack "pin cap" that I wear at events:

but usually I wear my "Lucas Quality Inspector" cap while driving if I need a little "dome protection":

Well, as any proper sporting gentleman driving a British motor car would tell you, this matter is qutie easily settled, old boy! It should be obvious that the British driving cap is the correct head wear. You will likely find a fine woolen example in a proper habedashery hopefully sporting your clan's plaid or possibly matching the color of your MINI. Other materials are acceptable and readily available as well.

The many advantages are, of course, quite evident. The short brim is sufficient to the task of giving your eyes necessary shade, while not blocking all views of the very sky you bought your cabrio to expose you to in the first place. This model also enjoys reduced windage over other headgear such as the suicidal (in terms of shere style that is) baseball cap, or your common fedora, which you will loose almost immediately upon achieving any speed over 15 mph. Furthermore, the traditional sporting look will connect you with a long history of open-air motoring in the land from which your MINI hails and finally, you can wear it backwards like an American and thereby demonstrate how daringly unconventional you can be when requried.

Altogether, its the only real choice.

Pinkies up, everyone.

Cheers!

Why not? I don't see anything wrong with wearing a CAT hat. Variety is the spice of life
