As some of you may recall from my previous post (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...pic=980&29),
I was sorting things out with Roadshow Mini in Memphis. I ordered Leatherette but my MCS was mistakenly built with leather. I talked to the sales manager (Lori Patton, very nice woman) about it this evening. She figured out by going through the paperwork that it was indeed misordered by Roadshow Mini. She offered to split the cost of the leather mistake with me, which I was glad to do. She and I both felt that this addressed both the dealer's mistake and my wanting the car sooner rather than later.

She and I both know that this cuts into the profit margin, but she went the extra mile to provide good customer service to compensate for a mistake. Isn't it nice to know that there still are good dealers out there! I just wanted everyone to know that I am extremely please with Roadshow Mini and both Dorian and Lori. They have provided me with great service and have met me halfway so that I can receive my car at the original date. Thanks to all of you that posted with suggestions on how to resolve this problem. It really worked out great! It's nice that Mini owners help each other.

My MCS is on the Tanabata on its way across the pond right now. I can't wait to go pick it up! I have already contacted 5 other Mini owners in St. Louis. We will be doing a Mini drive on the Great River Road in October.

Thanks everyone!
Aaron

Aaron, that's great. I too bought from Roadshow and they were a pleasure to work with. And Dorian is not only nice, but she is so cute. It is nice to hear that your problem was dealt with professionally and an amicable agreement was reached. Everybody wins. I bet that they may sell a couple of more MINI's just based on this thread. BTW, is there no MINI dealer in St. Looey?

Chef, there is a Mini dealer in St. Louis, but the wait for a Mini S is around 1 year. They were one of the first dealers to open and they have already sold almost their whole allotment. Plus their price was MSRP + 2000.

Thanks for all the support. I didn't know what to to in this situation either, but all the posts helped me figure something out. Everything has worked out very nicely. I'm just glad that I'm working with a dealer that cares about the customer.

Can't wait to motor!

Aaron

Hey, if they ordered it wrong, they should be stuck w/it... but you can't complain about leather at 1/2 cost.... congrats on the good resolution of the problem... now it's time to start breaking the seats in...

Congrats! I hope you rate the dealership on the dealer ratings. I travel a lot across country and have co workers everywhere. I have been refering them to this website to look at the ratings and I feel as long as we are honest in our evaluations it will help others in finding good dealerships to work with.

So what color is the leather? I have the lapis blue and black on the sport seats, I really do like it, didn't think I would at first.

Congrats! Sounds like your dealer is a good one and I must presume from the tone of your original posts that you handled things like a gentleman. Enjoy your car, I'm sure you will. Karma definitely counts.
