I checked the search function- really I did- and got butkus.

I have seen this mentioned a few times, "seven interior" or "seven dash" and figured it must have been a special offer or something. What is this seven I here about???

In Europe they had an entire MINI "seven" package on the MINI One that included the "seven" interior that had cloth seats with a series of circles on them and the piano black dash. In the U.S., all we got was the dash.

What's that red circle on the dash??

 

Well, I can tell you about mine.

I have a "piano black" dash with a series of circles and one of them is red. That is the color of my car as well. The trim is a metallic color around the doors, shifter, brake, cupholders, odometor ect. Its not chrome but silver. the rest of the interior is black or very dark grey in tone. This isnt my car but it will give you an idea. Anyway....thats what Ive been told.

 

It's just a red circle.

Did you add the chrome bits or did yours come that way???
Mine does not have chrome But its also not Solar Red either:impatient

 

In addition to the piano black dash, I also spec'd the chromeline interior, anthracite headliner, and heated space cloth sport seats.

 

I spend hours looking at my piano black dash trying to figure out why the seven dash has six circles. It doesn't take much to occupy me though. FYI - The early Minis were Sevens.

 

A-HA, I see the light-or at least the red circle now! Too bad we didn't get the total seven package but on second thought all those circles in such a snug area might be a bit disorienting

Dave, is that second pic of the euro "seven" kit? I don't see the cirlces on the seats.

The Seven interior in Europe also had a circle pattern in the upholstery.

 

My MINI has the piano interior and the dash circle is red. I'm betting that the red is standard with all the piano interiors since my car is blue/white.

 

I'm not dave but I've been in his car once or twice .. the second pic is of the interior of his MC and there are no circles on the seats because those are the spacecloth seats. I don't think the "full" seven interior was available as a US option.

 

I like that '7' look, I'm jealous.
