Just curious, who hasn't had a problem with their leather seats? How long have you had them and what color are they? Gravity or profile? Most the previous posts on this forum relate to problems and it paints a pretty dismal picture for this interior option.

Anything worth answering is worth answering completely. You made it through the first question, what about the rest ?

premature wear, anything legitimate you have found with fit or finish. All leather will wrinkle with use. Anything you are not happy with.

Grey/anthracite/charcoal/whatever colored leather here with the little profile bumps. So far so good!

I have black (actually a dark charcoal) panther profile leather sport seats with approximately 4K miles - no problems although they are more comfortable when its colder as the seat is much firmer. As an aside, no strange noises from them either.

Panther black gravity (smooth) leather, 12300 Miles, doing fine, even after I dropped a burning sigarette butt on it . No problems. Still smooth, and not wrinkly. Though I've heard that they get creases sometimes, I am lucky so far.

Profile (bumpies) or panther black (smooth)?

Black Panther Profile leather (it's gray, face it ) with heaters. They are not the 'bumpy' ones, rather they are the smooth sport seats.

Only about 5000 miles so far, but like any leather seat with a nearly 270 pound monster grinding his narrow behind into them some characteristic wrinkling is bound to happen. I am keeping tabs on the seat condition, and will let my dealer know if I think it's too much.

Mine do not look anything like some of the 'bad leather seat' threads show. So far, mine have very slight crinkling where my shoulders and back dig into the upper part of the bolsters, and light creases in the middle of the seat bottom.

I recently took a 2400 mile trip in the car, and I noticed no difference in the seats from what they were before the trip.

I've had an 03 MCS since Jan 23rd, with 11k miles on it, and lapis blue leather.
My leather is fine. There are a few crinkles, but I consider that normal. The only thing I would consider not normal is tearing, gashes, seams coming apart, discoloration, peeling, and I have none of that!
COmpared to previous cars I've had, I like this leather. It is less slippery, and breathes much, much better than the leather seats I had in my Subaru Outback. I like the lumbar adjustment. I also find the seats to be very comfortable. Having just completed a 6000 mile cross country trip, I have absolutley no complaints about the leather seats!

My Lapis Blue drivers seat is scuffed. Pisses me off because I cannot figure out how it happened. the leather IMHO is just to soft and not like BMW leather, At least the Lapis isn't.

I have the leather with the dots...almost 10K miles with no problems and it doesn't leave a dot pattern on my legs either. I'll doing the hide food treatment before it starts getting hot so that the leather doesn't dry out.

I also no longer have 666 posts. That was kinda scary for a moment

Ok - I was worried about the lapis blue leather and talked to others before I got my car. A lot of people have dogs and no problems; however, I've noticed a scratch from my Jack Russell's claw on my passenger seat. The leather is a bit fragile, but find it to be pretty durable overall. Besides it is so comfortable and better than other leather seats I've had in the past. I have learned to carry a blanket in my car whenever Avery tags along with me.
