R50/53 "No problem with leather thread"
>>I don't really know what they are called, but you can probably figure it out. I have a completly stock MCS with 17" wheels and tires.>>>

So it seems that the "Profile" leather is the only one with a high level of owner satisfaction.
Lapis Blue seems to be the lowest quality and the one with the higher frequency of complaints.
How about the other leathers? The Cooper offers Cordoba tan and Emerald Green leather seats....do they hold up?
Ofcourse, I still prefer the Leatherette. Never been so thrilled by Vinyl!

The only problem I have is that the Panther BLACK isn't black. Its more grey than black. I ordered the back leather shift boot from Moss, and it stands out ebcuse the leather seats aren't black. It would be nice if they were black to match the roof...
Well here's the trouble free lineup so far.......
1 - space cloth
1 - hasn'tgotaclue
6 - black profile (bumps)
3 - black gravity (smooth)
3 - cordoba beige
3 - lapis blue
No word from emerald green yet..........

I thought it was called Profile Black Leather, and Panther Black Leather. Thats what it was for the 2002 Lineup. I have a complaint for the Panther Black, not BLACk enough. I should have done my homework, I would have saved $1000 and had them retrimmed in a sporty fashion.
I have the cordoba beige and the main problem Ive been having is the driver seat has been getting really creased and wrinkled. I brought it to the dealer and they said it was normal, I think they just dont want to fix it!
Another post for you -
I have lapis blue leather; 4600 miles on the car. I like the leather a lot - it's comfortable, breathable, and not too slippery. I've noticed a couple of wrinkles in the shoulder area, but I wouldn't have noticed them if I hadn't been looking for them after reading a post here. The only other thing I've noticed is a butt-shaped 'dimple' in the driver's seat (and I don't weigh that much, either!). I figure that that's normal, though. I've treated the driver's seat (it gets the most wear) with Bee Natural Auto Amore leather care.
