Is it just me? I can't decide on what color to order? I think the reason is because the colors for the MC are just too dull. The red is not deep enough, the blue is not dark enough, I don't like the yellow, the green is ok but not thrilled about it. the silver is too common, black too boring. I know I want the black roof and mirror caps. I'm leaning toward the pepper white but man I wish some of the other colors just had a little more color to them. I think Mini needs to really work on this. I love the car but the colors need improvement. I have heard that some new colors may be coming for '04 but I think Mini needs to work on improving the shades of colors they already have, because orange and baby blue are just not gonna do it for me.

There's a couple I don't care for either. I'd love to see a nice orange or tangerine color.

But for now, look at the color of the car as a palate to which you can add your personal touches. Graphic treatments are only limited by your imagination. A too strong base color would inhibit this ability. I have a Pepper white and added roof checks, bonnet/boot stipes and some side pinstripes with Cooper laurels to get some contrast & a different look.

I've heard that they will actually be adding an orange color in the future! It will (as far as the rumors go) replace the velvet red. There has been talk about it on around here, But i haven't seen anything official yet!

The last time I was at my dealer, I saw the Gold color Cooper. Got to say, that didn't really speak me.
You can always take any old color option, and do an aftermarket paint scheme if you're looking for something more exciting.
Cheers,

Thanks for your suggestions, I see some others also like the pepper white with black roof. I wonder how it is to keep clean and if hides minor scratches well? Also would you get the silver or anthracite interior with it?

I suggest going to a dealer that has a large supply of Coopers/MCS and look at as many colors as you can. They look very different than on the websites. I went with idea of getting Red/White and saw a Cooper that was solid red and that was the color for my MCS. The other colors I like are the BRG, Dark Blue, and Pepper White. Hope you find a color you like.

Would it be possible to special order a MCS color for the MC? My cousin bought a 3 series BMW when he was stationed in Germany and got a special blue color that I think was only available for the M3.

I went with Anthracite, really classy. As far as keeping clean, it's not as bad as you would think since it's not a "bone" white (more of a cremy white). All MINIs have rear ends that get dirty pretty easily no matter what color. I've found using a California Duster on it once per day keeps a lot of the surface dirt down and increases my time between washing. Of course a couple of good coats of wax helps too!

Cheers,
Bill

I really love my Pepper White with Black top and mirrors, it really is a classy color white and the black trim all around really sets off the styling of the car. It almost seems bigger than some of the darker colors because of the contrast. While the back does attrack dust and dirt very easy I'm amazed how the front of the car always look clean by comparision. The first rally I went to with my new MINI I parked right next to a Classic 1969 Mini also Pepper White and the color was an exact match. I have tinted my windows with charcoal color tint and the look is truly awesome !

I've the solid PW with sunroof and Red Interior. It wasn't my first choice, but if I had it to do over again, I'd get PW with red interior again only with a black roof so the roof would blend in with the sunroof black glass. Pepper White is very difficult to appreciate in a photograph because the shade and hue nuances of the color can only be appreciated in person.

It is the easiest color to keep clean. I can't wait for it to get dirty when I wash it 'cause it looks clean even when it is dirty.

The ivory/cream white is very distinct when away from the dealer. It stands out from all other whites and especially those cars that look like refrigerators. Some people even think it is pearlescent...hence the name of the car: MINI Pearl.

I want to continue to own a unique color.

I will order the cvt also so my wife will be able to drive it. I tried to teach her on a manual but she really doesn't want to learn. Any comments regarding silver or anthracite trim?
