yah its too much....its adding a very large chrome dot to your hood. If you want your car to just stand out, do it. If you want your car to look clean and classy....dont do it

Did the chrome exterior package on our 06 MCS PW/B with the chrome IC air scoop and it really set the car apart. My son recommended the chrome inlet. Left the airs vent stock--sofar. General consensus is that it is both a clean and classy look.

You will find this is solely a matter of personal preference. Some will flame you and others will praise you. Just do what you like. Me, I've added chrome to the bonnet - washer jets and cowls, and I like the look, but why should that influence you or your choices?

Too much chrome looks tacky to me. I don't even like chrome wheels. But that's just me.

I really like the chrome hood scoop and inlet covers on my wife's Pepper White cabrio. The chrome and off-white combination reminds me of the old MGs and Austin-Healeys. I don't know if I'd feel the same way about chrome on a darker colour though - would probably be a little too much contrast for my taste.

It is a sign of the generations I guess . When I was a kid, we always thought cars with lots of chrome were pretty swanky . In fact the more chrome a car had dripping off of it the better. Now, some are blacking out their chrome , like they are ashamed to have pride in their cars and their county ...obviously America has gone down the tubes.
I guess I blame Reagan and his Cold War victory. Now that we are the only real super power left (please ignore the huge Chinese Panda sitting in the corner ), we as a county have nothing left to aspire to and chrome has become passé.
Well I for one love my country and will continue showing the world that the USA is still the Land of the Free and a county to envy by placing chrome on my cars. I wear chrome because that's what Randolph Scott and the Duke would have wanted. The rest of you commie-loving bast*rds can do what you want.

Well, chrome = love of country! Who'd of ever thought?

By the way, put whatever you want on your MINI, that's what they are all about, doing in your way.

It's not about what we think it's about what you like.

Check out Mossmini.com they have tons of add-on chrome bits.
