We went to a dealership yesterday to do more visual research on the R56. I was also hoping that maybe they had something in the lot that would come close to the R56 MCS I built from the website. I had the print out and I knew exactly what I wanted. I was looking for the MCS DS/B with Lounge Red Leather. Sport Package was a must + the SS and LSD.

We ended up taking home a CR/B '06 JCW. It already has the carbon fiber trimmings, rally driving lights, 18in wheels. I couldn't resist. I've been doing all my research on the zero7's and didn't have much knowledge on the '06's. We spent $30K and it had 3350 miles on it(which was what our budget was for the zero7's anyway).

I guess we will have to wait for the R56 on a later date. I will miss the sport button and the more "BMW drive like" feel.

What do you guys think of our purchase decision? (BTW, sorry for any miss wordings or spellings, I didn't get any sleep last night)

You won't miss a thing....they each have their good points but an '06 JCW with only 3K miles for 30K....You couldn't beat that with a stick! Motor on. You are going to ENOY every minute behind the wheel.

Just wanted to say thanks guys. I was able to sleep last night. Here are the pictures of the car. Sorry it's a little blurry(it was getting late in the evening). My digital cam is broken and had to borrow a friend's.

Welcome to JCW ownership! Your story is very funny but I clearly understand how one can go shopping for one thing, yet end up with something totally different.

I am a huge fan of R53 JCW, so obviously you get my double thumbs up! You've got plenty of time to enjoy the '06 and watch the R56's go through there evolution.

 

I have a front view pic but the site won't let me upload it again since I've uploaded it on a different thread(the test thread). I placed the link to the thread on my prev post. I'm a newb to the forum, so I don't know how to put a picture on the thread other than attaching it(which shows up as a thumbnail view). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your compliments! I feel much better about the purchase. I think I was just getting a little "buyer's remorse" since I didn't do any of my homework on the JCW's.

I will post more pictures (including the interior) as soon as I get my new digital camera in the mail(which is in back order).
