Just watched the CBS Morning news...they covered the Detroit Auto Show and was mentioning the newly designed 2007 MINI with more power and better gas mileage, but they were showing the 2007 convertible which I believe is the same as the 2006

 

Not surprized, they wanted to show the convertible and probably didn't have a clue that the 07 is identical to the 06...or, if they did, they wanted to show the convert anyway figuring that 99% of viewers wouldn't know the difference as to re-design or no re-design.

 

Umberto...good pick-up. I saw the clip too and thought..."do they know what they're talking about?"

As Far as CBS's report goes, The Vert was "cute" so they showed it - Otherwise they did not have ANY clue as to what (newer MINI - older MINI)they were showing or talking about (Vert's are still "old production").



As far as FOX goes, if THEY did a report on the new MINI, all the positive things about the newer '07 MINI, would have been developed because Bush or Cheney "ordained" it to be so.... (or some other "fair and bullsh*t" reason)

If CBS did a report on the correct car they would highlight all things wrong with the car and blame Bush and Cheney. But you see, they can't get the correct car to begin with which is standard for a main stream media outlet as they can't tell their a** from a hole in the ground to start with.

I thought this thread was about CBS. If this continues down the political path this thread'll get locked.

The problem is that some of us who are intelligent, independent thinking people KNOW that there is not only a dangerous and wanton "liberal media" but there is a - just as dangerous and wanton - "conservative media". The fact is that the "media" in general is full of it and it's up to us as intelligent, independent thinking people to be able to discern that. I would no more call Fox news "fair" than I would call "CNN" fair. If either of them would tell the truth, they'd BOTH say they were biased.

I just don't buy the BS reference to Fox telling the truth about anything.

 

It's unfortunate that the liberal views in this forum have once again spun this into a political forum instead of the fact that most news networks can't get the news right or even straight for that matter. Fox News Fair and Balanced.

 

You know who's responsible for the CBS goof AND the problems in the world? The Zambonians! They're the ones to blame. Sure, they're a small country, whose only export are the machines they use to reglaze the ice on hockey rinks. But they are shrewd and have massive influence in the free world. So let's just blame them for the CBS error, the problems in the government, the weather, illness, the media, etc. And then we can get back to talking about our enthusiasm for MINIs!
