Okay, I did the requisite search and found nothing. Please could somebody tell me. What on earth is a "tax disc holder"? They are all over eBay under Mini Cooper search as well as some BMW listings. I thought I could figure out where something went on an auto, but this has me stumped. Of maybe I'm just stoopid!

 

Something they put on cars in england to hold a disc that shows you paid taxes on your car I think??

Indeed, we have a paper certificate (approx 3.5") round that costs from £125 - 210 per year. It must be displayed in the windscreen at all times.

 

Indeed! Indeed! We also have this kind of item. Its called a license plate! You only get one when the taxes have been paid. (Yes, we still have taxation with representation!) Sorry, I couldn't resist!!

 

actually, some localities in the US use a window sticker in addition to a state issued plate. See below...two stickers in VA.....annual state inspection and county/town/city tax sticker
