The MINI Project thread, time to wh-ore the MINI out! (56k go fish!)

Why is there no "garage-forum" on NAM?

Here's what it looked like, stock. :-)

Rota Sub Zero 18x7.5" ET45 Royal Gunmetal (on some old pics the rims are Royal Steel Gray, a little brighter than Gunmetal)
Toyo Proxes T1-R 215/35/18

Spraytinted rearlights
Spraytinted front indicators/parking lights
Checkered roof, the white checkers are decals and the black is the original roof, checkers also go out onto the wing
"Bodykit" is painted bodycolor, original is matte black
The grill and headlight rings are painted bodycolor, original is chrome
20% tint on all windows except windshield

3" custom cat-back exhaust with two 3" chrome tips
Alta CAI (Cold Air Intake)
Alta 15% smaller supercharger pulley

Alpine CDA-9853R - Headunit
Alpine KCA-420i - iPOD-interface
iPod 60GB
Rockford Fosgate Punch P162S 6.5" components front
Two Recaro Pole Position
Autometer Boost gauge
Autometer Oilpressure gauge (not installed yet)
"One-of-a-kind" M3 SMG-style tach with built-in shiftlight

H&R Coilovers that can be set in height(20-50mm)
Hawk HPS brake pads front and back

Brey Krause R9270 side mounts for Recaro Pole Position
OBX header and removal of cat so I can throw some flames, hah. ;-)
Autopower roll bar
Two Schroth Profi-II 6-point harnesses in silver
Widebody, midengine, RWD, etc. etc. ;-)

Rota has my picture on their webpage. :D

Here's what the car looks like today! 2007-01-06 (I had to remove the tint for a yearly inspection but dont worry it will be back!)

There is a "garage" thread...it's "Interior and Exterior Mods".

Nice work though, looks sweet.

Very nice car ...

As there is no "garage" you would have needed to post in "interior / exterior", "wheels & suspension", "performance". (maybe MORE)

Nice to see all your mods in one place.

Do the roll bar !!!

Your roll bar photo is HOT !!!

OH >>> THATS MY CAR !!!

I've seen your exhaust before in another thread, but did you notice any power lose with going to a 3"? Also, how is the sound? At the very least, I'm loving the 3" tips so now I know i'm getting those.

better check the harness routing

Nice looking Mini. Just a suggestion - you should have a pro confirm the harness mounting scheme. From what I've heard/read, mounting the shoulder harnesses to the floor (without at least routing them over the horizontal roll bar tube) will result in serious back injury (like, broken) in cases of front impacts. Think about it - car slams into something head-first, as your body wants to go forward the harnesses exert a DOWNWARD force on your shoulders, which compresses the back, especially when the mounts are low. Worth checking out more I think...

have fun
Kurt

He has a very valid point. The harness should at least run over that horizontal bar first.
