If you could change your MINIs color...

If you had the chance to change to color of your mini would you, and what color?

As for me I love my Pure Silver, but I would really like to have a British Racing Green, no Stripes, and my Clear tail lights, the only reason for that is I like how I can get a reflection in the green paint, the silver is a tad more challanging...

I loved my 05' pure silver with black stipes....that is until I laid eyes on GP 1336 (and quickly bought it!) No regrets.. the colors awesome!

A real, honest to god British Racing Green. Not this metallic junk BMW calls BRG.

British racing green? I thought the new MINIS were Bavarian Racing Green... hence the metallic.

I'd be curious to see a Mini in BRG, non-metallic. Could be nice. Personally, I'm not a fan of black plastic trim, be it on a Mini or Lotus Elise. Seems a little cheesy to me. That's why my first Mini was black-- to hide all the plastic accents. On my second Mini, I've given into BRG because it does not contrast too much. With that said, I'd like to see more Minis w/out black trim.

Our first MINI Cooper was classic CR/W, for the S we chose AB/W - TBH I think that maybe we should have stuck to CR/W, anyways I love AB when its clean

A real live, nonmetallic, light blue. Germans must live in caves. The MINI color choices are all shades of black and dark gray: Royal gray, dark silver gray, light silver gray, dark blue gray (mine), metallic black, black-black.

I'm seeing a theme here . . .

I really like my HB/W, but since you asked I'd go with PW/PW. The extra $450 in my pocket would be nice.

I tried to change my MINI's color to Electric Blue in '05, but they yanked EB as a color option for Coopers here in the U.S. alone. Yes, I'm bitter.

When I was stationed in Germany, we used to say that Germany had two colors of sky, 'Gray and wet gray'. I spent 2 years in Geramany (75-77) driving a Mini .

It is a good questions. I love my EB and I often say I will never let it go. But then I also often think I would like to have BRG. So maybe that means that eventually I will have two MINIs.

If I had to change the color, I'd go with the GP color scheme. Its dignified, yet it still says "look at me."

My first thought was noway nohow... I really really love my HB/W MCS.... but I do recall, and probably still would order, wanting a Hot Orange and being disappointed I couldn't get it in the coup...

I love my Astro Black when it's clean, but if I were to change, I think i'd go for Hyper Blue with a white roof.

If I had to change my car's color, I'd go with real BRG, and have it applied by a body shop because I, too, don't care much for metallic paint. The roof? I'd have to study the cars in all green, black roof, and white roof before making a decision.

I always thought the BRG was a little dark. When they started repainting my car, it came out lighter . So, the whole car is getting repainted. Apparently there is only one manufacturer for this color, so you get what you get. I think it is going to be beautiful. If I could change the color, this is what I would have done.

Pics as soon as I get it back and have some sun. Then, about a month later, more pics when I get my new black & chrome stripes .

(Browsing through my House of Kolor chip book...)

Either a "Cobalt Blue" or "Burple" Kandy topcoat over a silver basecoat, or "Organic Green Kandy" over a gold basecoat.

Among the factory offerings, I like my "Cool Blue" the best.

Yellow. I've always liked yellow, but we always seem to buy our cars too late.

We bought our '99 Miata 10AE (yellow was only available the first year)
We bought our 2005 F150 (yellow was only available in 2004)
We bought our 2006 MCS (yellow was only available in 2005)

We always seem to miss it by one year!

I love spaceblue & silver but it can show the dirt sometimes. The few silk greens ive seen have looked real nice. Id like to try that for a spell.

Watch out with the chrome stripes. They peel easy. Sun just eats them up. Ask Clo, she knows.
