elongated MINI

This is not a photo chop. A girl i work with went to Italy for her honeymoon and snapped up this shot. The first real Mini Traveler (home made version)

Granted I am new to the Mini world and all and hate to even ask, but what is the difference? It does not appear bigger, I can see some cosmetic changes but beyond that not much else.

Help!!

Their line is very interesting. I'm surprised I haven't heard more about these on the forum. They seem to have the longer body integrated without taking away from the MINIness of the thing. Same goes for some of the other models - the one with the "Crossup" is downright amusing (running boards?!?). Some of them don't work at all - the Hybrid looks like a MINI Golf Cart and the Woody is just wrong. Still their overall execution on the longer wheelbase looks good to me. The bigger size is there, but none of the proportions or lines appear to be sacrificed. BMW should have been taking notes.

BTW, I noticed that they're careful not to mention MINI in their website. Anybody know why?

Well, personally it's not at all to my tastes, but I do like that little cow-catcher bar thing up front... Nice find!

Crazy stuff there. But that first one looks pretty cool. It might be even better slightly jacked up and with that all-wheel drive system Getrag did for that snow MINI.
