R50/53 Who hasn't performance modded their MINI?
No modifications yet ... I was concerned with the warranty issues but with the number of miles I have on this thing I'll be out of warranty soon.
Also, I'm not mechanically inclined and I've had a hard time finding a shop, that I'm comfortable with, to do any modifications.
I plan to put on the intake, pulley and exhaust.

The only mods I'd do would be to improve gas mileage. I guess they don't have any for that, huh? Thus far, plain old MC get-up-and-go is enough performance for this boy. What in the world would you need a more powerful car for?

>>I'll agree on that point, but buying things for my wife only makes matters worse. She is the anti-spender to the Nth degree. Doing things for her doesn't quite entitle me to "extras" either, that just keeps me in good graces!

Are you sure we aren't married to the same woman?

No mods here...except my beloved glovebox organizer!
Oh...and my shorty antenna.
And my upcoming brake light mod!!!
That's it. Can't see needing any more horses. Also, I'm real cautious about warrantee issues. Maybe someday!

No perf mods here, either. We want to keep my S stock, cuz of auto-xing ...we wanna just run in G-stock.
We do have little cosmetic things...flip-down cup holder, glove box organizer, arm rest, etc.
Dunno if we'll make any mods in the future....prolly not. I don't want this car to turn into a B.O.A.T. ...."Break Out Another Thousand" project. My husband would, but it's my car.

For those who haven't p-modded yet, I'd highly recommend that you do the Brake light mod first. There are no warranty issues, it's cheap and easy to do. At the NY meet yesterday, we rode for 60 miles with about 40 cars. I got to compare those with and those without the mod. Especially on the Chili Red, the single light was barely visible when they braked. Very dangerous!!
In the first month I owned the car, someone hit me from behind and told me that he couldn't tell that I had braked. I had to replace the whole bumper. Don't let this happen to you.
