Oh, I forgot, the MINI chrome mirrors lowered my coefficient of drag (cd) so now my top speed is 160mph

When she arrives, her first mods are just cosmetic. Dash mat, glove box organizer, and cubby hole organizer box from MOSS.

Then when I get a chance I'll make an air scoop grill for her.

When I sell my current vehicle (92' Honda Civic-non rice type R), I'll get lowering springs and an air intake for my new MCS.

I'm just thrilled to have the car. Who's got $$$ for mods? Not I. But would probably only do cosmetic ones even if I did. I do love those chrome add-ons.

Nothing for me, either, but I'm strongly considering something that would give my non-S Cooper a little extra oomf coming off a dead stop. Any suggestions??

Though every time I see NoBull's MINI I drool I still haven't done any performance mods. So far just the glove box organizer, seat belt pads with 'MINI' emblazoned on them and tinted windows.

Oh yeah, I put the factory driving lights on myself, still not performance though.

Yeah an "S" pulling it.... Seriously though, start with the cold air intake and go from there.

Mine is stock after three months. I only want to install the OEM rally lamps. I prefer not to mess up with the engine and loose my warranty, and to be honest, the 1.6 liter 110HP is excellent for moving around, not lazy at all.

Trying to get more power from a 1.6 liter 4 cyl is going to cost a lot of money for very little HP gains. If you add up that cost it´s probably better to just get a Mini S that will have more power and warranty... Of course I do respect people´s freedom for modding their cars, just as a hobby.

No mods YET! I just got my deposit back on the EVO 8 and took it to the Subaru dealer for the STI. Once I'm in posession of the STI, I'll start modding the MINI, you single guys don't know how much you have it made. My MINI would have been to Denver already if I were still single. Wives just don't understand the need to tinker

I am lucky. The trick is get something for them, then get something for MINI. Take them to dinner, then take MINI for something. Wash her car, get something for MINI. Buy her flowers, buy something for MINI. So on and So on....Just look at my list of mod's above. Do you all think I could do all that without her permission?? No way Jose'. After 24 yrs together you need to learn how to play the game of marriage guy's. But please don't tell her I said that. Then I'm cut off from everything!! And I mean EVERYTHING!!!!!

>>I am lucky.<<

YES, you are!

>>...you need to learn how to play the game of marriage guy's. <<

I'll agree on that point, but buying things for my wife only makes matters worse. She is the anti-spender to the Nth degree. Doing things for her doesn't quite entitle me to "extras" either, that just keeps me in good graces!

I guess I still need to figure out the rules of my marriage game! It's only been 4.5 years, so you've got 20 years of experience on me! I know what DOESN't work, I just haven't quite figured out exactly what DOES work!
