No performance mods as of yet!!
Mostly cosmetic mods for the time being until there's more aftermarket performance products for the MC. I'm a little hesitant because back in the mid 80's, we raced 2 early build Acura Integras that were used as "guinea pigs" by several aftermarket companies. A lot of trial-N-error (and lots of $$$). Didn't have alot of sponsors back then so most mods were out of pocket, except for the "free" parts when the cars were used as templates for prototypes. Similar to what alot of members (and race teams) are doing now for the MINI. I just don't have the time or resource to do anymore trial-n-error. Don't get me wrong, I love tinkering with cars, but after 3 early build cars used as guinea pigs, it's time for other enthusiasts to "shake down" the MINI. BTW, still auto-xing in "showroom" trim  |
you don't know the power of the dark side... _________________ http://www.starwars.com/databank/cha...g/movie_bg.jpg |
Not having an S, I'm also waiting for further testing on MC performance mods before doing anything major. Done several interior add-ons, and added a Remus exhaust for the lovely sound it makes.
|
Nothing performance related, but I'm all about some splashy accessories!

i havent done any performance mods. for one because i know nothing about them.. but am interested to learn. and second cause im trying to sell my car to get the S.. maybe then ill mod.
my favorite mod of all has to be the rear fog/breaklights. love them.. the few times i get to see them. i have not seen another mini in person with it. |
None yet, but I plan on doing quite a bit once the car gets through it's teething pain phase.
I am not one to leave well enough alone.   |
no mods here. i am having enough fun as it is!

I have never been much for performance modifications; they can sometimes become a reliability problem or a liability at trade-in time. With the exception of the glove box organizer and the cubby console that have already been installed and the Euro shelf which is on order, the only deficiency I have found with the MCS is interior storage. If I wanted more power I would have bought an M3 or another M5. I’m very pleased with the MCS the way it came from the factory. Decent power with a nice motor sound a high revs, great handling and a quite and taunt ride. But if more performance is your desire, there are plenty of options that should make you quite happy. I think the MCS is the most fun you can get for less then $50,000 in an automobile today.

No Mods, performance or otherwise. We like out 03 EB/WH MCS just the way it is.
|
Just a powder coated skidplate to protect power steeling fan
and powertrain components. |
Keeping it all Original since it is a 2002 1st year for the states, except for a skidplate. EBC brakepads have to be next for the obvious reason but that should'nt affect originality because they wear out anyways.
|
so far, only added the Moss glovebox organizer, which I'm sure has cut at least a full 2 seconds off of my 0-60 time!
|
>>EBC brakepads have to be next for the obvious reasons
Please please let us know how the swap goes. I'm about to bite on ordering these. |
I, too, have done no performance mods so far to my MCS...although I have some on my "wish" list. So far, only cosmetic mods: S2000 antenna, glove box organizer, cubby hot pocket, euro parcel shelf, tinted windows, rear power outlet. All fairly cheap mods compared to the ones I have on my todo list!
|
no performance mods yet. I am still weighing my options and watching as the aftermarket gets going. Still deciding on when and what I want to change. But somehow I want it a bit over 200hp.
