Interesting MCS muffler setup

Recently there was an MCS parked at the Bank of America in downtown Fairfax, Virginia with an interesting muffler setup. Rather than twin tips in the center, each muffler exited straight back, i.e. an exhaust tip at each corner, more or less. Looked very original equipment. Any idea on what this is?

Has anyone heard or used it? I'm considering just finding an old-school muffler guy and having a system fabbed up, dual pipes out either side rather than centered, though I do like the centered look. I'm justifying it by saying "but honey, I have to be able to reach the trailer hitch pin without burning my hands!"

She's not buying it a bit (knows me too well, after more than a couple decades of marriage, who'd have known?!?)

Check out Palo Uber. They have the duel rear valance. Go to your local muffler shop (pick a guy who is up to date with todays market) and have it made. You can pick from lots of different mufflers and pipe sizes.

Tell us how it comes out.

With the dual mufflers out at either end does that mean you regain the space available for the spare tire that you have on an MC?

Methinks the Stahl unit does this, too. Check out DMH motorsports for more info.
