I found this item on ebay, but I can't really tell from the description what it is for. I think it is something for a motorcycle gas tank .
Anyway, I was wondering if it might be something I could use in the gas cap area of El Kabong to protect the paint. I'm having issues with staining from gas in that area. Even though I am very careful to wipe the area down when I put gas in, I still get some staining.
Oh, and I love the "Free Bits and Bobs" part, so very British!

It sticks to the rear of the tank and protects the paint from zipper scratches. I think it would look a bit wierd on your car.

You're right, it does! The item description says Bits and Bobs, so I didn't catch the difference!

I wouldn't use the entire thing the way it is, I'd probably cut it down or something. Just a thought.....

Are you considering cutting the checkerboard in the shape of an arrow pointing at the gas cap? That would be kind of fun!
