Ah, I forgot about the pricing differences of the earlier model years. It's nice to hear from the horse's mouth that you value your money enough to spend/invest it wisely. You are my sister's age, and I see her friends wasting so much money. It seems their parents didn't teach them anything about the true value of money. Cheers to you for making some great decisions that bought you a MINI!

I too saved up for years and waited it out with my old car until the right time to make a smart financial decision. Sometimes it seems like there aren't many of us out there who aren't willing to live beyond their means.

dont matter of any age or gender but can you afford it without hurting yourself or the love ones is the parameters of wanting to own a mini.

dont steal, lie, fabricate, deceive or conceive any wicked ideas to own a mini. if you could afford it, great! if not, other affordable cars are just as good as the mini's and are well respected by all.

Just another young MCS owner checking in. I have been at what is my first job for a couple months now. As soon as I got the job I knew I had to get a MCS. But not knowing how to drive a stick, the first couple of times driving to work I: 1) stalled in the parking garage with a coworker behind me and 2)the worst, stalled at the gate of the parking garage in the morning with people behind me trying to get to work on time. I don't do that anymore.

Thats awesome. I bought my first Mini when i was 17, an austin cooper 998. I never thought I would be able to afford a new mini, but I found out about a car auction down the street from me. After turning over a few cars, I bought an 03 MCS. 8 months later, I sold that to get an MC40, my favorite r53 that I dreamed about. Im psyched that I got this far now that im 19, and have two self funded minis. I bought the MC40 a year ago and have just financially recovered, so the mods are about to start. I am also restoring my classic by myself, and I anticipate that getting done this year.

I'm an IT analyst for a rather large company and i major in Finance at Penn State. i also have two dogs and a house. i want to retire super early so i made a quick break for the 401k route and everything i make is either invested or already spent on the car home fiance or dogs... in that order haha
