R50/53 Young people?
I bought my MINI (back in 2002) during my senior year of highschool.....i had been saving up money from selling artwork and working as a graphic designer (plus whatever money i made on summer jobs)....and my parents taught me how to properly invest and manage my money well enough that i could later afford the car (granted...it was a very basic cooper and back in 2002(original pricing) which comes nowhere close to the 24k number being thrown around).
I too saved up for years and waited it out with my old car until the right time to make a smart financial decision. Sometimes it seems like there aren't many of us out there who aren't willing to live beyond their means.
dont matter of any age or gender but can you afford it without hurting yourself or the love ones is the parameters of wanting to own a mini.
dont steal, lie, fabricate, deceive or conceive any wicked ideas to own a mini. if you could afford it, great! if not, other affordable cars are just as good as the mini's and are well respected by all.

Just another young MCS owner checking in. I have been at what is my first job for a couple months now. As soon as I got the job I knew I had to get a MCS. But not knowing how to drive a stick, the first couple of times driving to work I: 1) stalled in the parking garage with a coworker behind me and 2)the worst, stalled at the gate of the parking garage in the morning with people behind me trying to get to work on time. I don't do that anymore.
Just out of curiosity, for those of you who are in high school or just out and paying for your car and insurance, what sorts of jobs do you have? I don't recall any high school type jobs when I was that age that would have afforded me car payments and insurance. Luckily, for my sanity, the MINI wasn't around when I was a teenager

.I'm an IT analyst for a rather large company and i major in Finance at Penn State. i also have two dogs and a house. i want to retire super early so i made a quick break for the 401k route and everything i make is either invested or already spent on the car home fiance or dogs... in that order haha
