Rodan vs Chrysler 300

This AM Rodan was attacked by a crazed C-300 intent on violating him. Luckily for us, he was able to rebuff the Chrysler's advances and left the attacker much worse for trying. (Couldn't bring the photos from the gallery to this post, check my gallery.)

A while back there was a thread about a totaled Mini and what to do about the after-market equipment. Can any of you forum-savy folks direct me to that thread? Think I might need to review it.

Thanks, Mini, for making a reall tough little car.

Man I hope everything gets sorted out... Sorry about your car. Looks like the Chrysler didn't fare as well as the MINI. Maybe get an 07?

Interesting. Folks sometimes express concern less for a front-end collision in a MINI than a rear-end collision due to the smallish boot. Seems your MINI did a fantastic job, considering the damage to the other car. MINIs are truly amazing!!!

Actually, I'm not sure the C-300 didn't also hit the cement barrier on the side of the road after he hit us. I was a little busy to watch the rear-view as I was trying to keep the Mini straight and right side up. The car's exceptional cornering saved us as much as the sturdy construction as the impact gave us a good bit of rotational velocity. I'd really like to go back and see the skid marks. We were doing 60-ish and he was proably 100+. It was a real battle for a few seconds to keep from getting inverted.

Thanks Chili for bringing the pics up.

Good to hear you are okay.

Maybe the Chrysler got a mind of its own and is trying to get back at your MINI for the switch in engines next year =P

Well, when our MINI had some front end work done, they had to replace my MINI madness brackets. They did, no questions asked. Also, my air horns were destroyed. They asked me where I got them and proof of purchase, they replaced them. As long as you can show that you paid for them, they'll order brand new ones from the Manufacturer.

Sorry to hear about the mishap.
Glad to hear your un-injured.

Luckily, I have a folder with LOTS of receipts for after-market stuff. Planning on getting them organized this PM, just in case. As far as an '07, my thinking now is I'd rather have my Mini back so am hoping it isn't totaled. Its Indi Blue after all. Anyone with body shop stories from the Las Vegas area?

Glad that you were able to walk away and your MINI did its job.

Any encroachment in the rear passenger area? From the pic of the boot damage, it does not look there was any.

None as far as I can tell, tho of course the boot won't open to get a closer look. My laptop was in the storage area in its back-pack carrying case and it still works fine.
