Lurker needs to vent to sympathetic souls...

I went to my friend's big 30th birthday party tonight. Had a great time with friends and her family at her parents' gorgeous house overlooking Puget Sound in the sleepy little suburb of Edmonds (north of Seattle). Not much ever happened here when I was growing up.

Some friends left around 11:30 and promptly returned to the house announcing that their car had been egged!! Immediately my heart begins to race as the rest of us inside run out to check our respective cars.

Of course I parked at the end of the street, nowhere near any light. I felt the door and didn't find anything. Then I spotted the slime on the left rear corner. I pulled the car up to the light and saw that my poor Buttercup had been brutally attacked and hit in several places. I spent the next several minutes wiping the egg off the bonnet, roof and entire driver's side. I would have been screaming and cursing at the top of my lungs if it wasn't so late.

So now, tomorrow morning--before I head to my 8 am appointment--I have to stop at a car wash to make sure it's all off. Grrrr...

Whew, I feel a bit better now. Thanks for listening (reading?)

I hope this never happens to me, as I have no doubt in my mind I would end up beating the perpetrator far beyond recognition.
I really have NO tolerance for crap like this..

I hope your MINI's ok after it's bath, though..

Sorry about the egging. We've had several stories about egging on MCO, and why MINIs are subject to just this manner of vandalism is beyond me.

Cost of £650.00.

Hearing stuff like this p.o.'s me...I don't understand why anyone would vandalize a car....

You are not the first one on here to be egged....I have heard of at least three others who have had the same thing happen. I'm sorry that it did happen, but with it sucks with stuff like that because rarely is the culprit ever found. Just give your baby a good bath and she should be ok...

over haloween last year, some kids decided it was funny to squirt paint all over my car. imagine my horror as I walked up to it and found streaks of yellow and blue paint all over.

thankfully, all it needed was a good waxing and detail. if I caught those kids I would beat their face into a pulp.

Thanks for the sympathy. Luckily, it rained a little last night which made me feel better. And I gave her a wash this afternoon so she's good as new.

I don't know what I would have done it had been a paint or key incident--horror! Sorry for you guys who've had to deal with that.

If you ever find them, you really need to have it up with them, and I am sorry to hear your story, and hope that your mini is still in good shape.
