Not sure if its rust or not but on the rear of my '05 convertible there is a little location that has a bunch of rust color spots on it. It was actually the area under where I kept my XM radio antenna, so when I removed it, it was pretty dirty in that location. Any ideas for cleaning?

 

What color is your MINI? If it's a PW then it may be stained. Try claybarring the area, remember you need to put some sort of polish/wax on to protect the area you've claybarred.

Is your rear washer leaking? That's getting common.

 

pure silver, and I don't have a rear washer cause its a convertible.

 

I've discovered recently that my magnet-mount Sirius antenna has left a stain on the finish as well. Apparently the metal plate with the magnets that is covered by the plastic bottom label/protector rusts, this rust then stains the finish. I have not had a chance to tend to the problem, but I am going to try the usual rust-stain elimination fixes first.

I will then try to find a non-staining antenna next.
