Gas station preference?

Hi motorers!

I'd just like to know which gas station you prefer for your little MINI?

I personally like BP.

Shell always throw a CEL on my car... (P0456 code) Every single time I get gas from there, I get a CEL the next morning...

So, which gas station do you like the most ?

I go to Shell. I don't want to go to BP ever again because of that little fiasco they had up in Alaska, they sound like a bunch of idiots...

Chevron. Close to the house, lots of pumps, and fast fills.

I prefer Chevron gas, but will also use Union 76, Shell or Texaco. The local 76 has racing fuel at 106 octane, sometimes will mix in a little ($6.00 per gallon) with the 91.

I only use Shell, because they're the only Top Tier gas brand in my area. Have you heard of the Top Tier list?

I'm a Shell guy, but I like anything on this list:

CEL shouldn't be caused by Shell gas, btw. Maybe it's a good idea you go get OBD read, to figure out what's really stinkin' up the works? I'm assuming you use the 93 octane "V-Power" stuff, right?

Good luck, let me know,
Tatt

I've done very well with Chevron, Vallero, and ARCO.

Anything other than Citgo, for political reasons and Venezuala ownership.

Always premium, Shell V-Power or similar. Contrary to Royal4mac, I kind of admire Hugo Chavez, he's a legend in his own mind, so Citgo is fine by me. Just wish their crude was a little lower in sulphur content, that way we could afford to buy diesel and all have MINI ONE D's as commuter cars.

Costco for me (which is BP I do believe).....now that I think of it, I don't believe she has had any other type of fuel!

If I had to stop then I would look for a Top Tier or BP

I use Chevron. Runs great in all my vehicles.
Close to my house.

I have had problems with Shell in the past with other vehicles so I don't go there.

AFAIK, here on the east side of SoCal we've only 3 of the "top tier" to choose from... but with everyone buying out everyone these days, who knows who is who (whom?)

I routinely fill up at the ARCO Restaurant chain. $3.35/gal last i checked, and not the best, but consistent. ARCO. Go for the food, Leave with gas. (note: out here ARCO recently donned the BP flower).

The weird thing is that even back in Montreal, every single time I'd go to Shell, I'd get a CEL the next morning...

Same thing happens in Florida too...

I guess it's an additive they put in their gas...

It's really not a big problem...

I really like BP & Sonoco (BP because the closest gas station is a BP and the staff there is really friendly...)

Shell had some issues with their gas in Canada, 2-3 years ago... I remember they had to pay for customers' car fuel system cleanup.

Chevron. My car is happy on the inside due to all that Techron in its diet.

I have one favorite location that I go to for 90% of my fill-ups. Top tier gas at a good price, plus a decent drive-through car wash with a shaded area for vacuuming and drying.

same here....Costco 93 octane for all three cars we own (two MINI's and the LGT). I like paying $.20-$.30 less per gallon than across the street at the Mobil and we also get a % back from being Executive Members

I like the gas station we went to in the town of Lindside in rural West Virginia this weekend.

They pump your gas for you.

Not because it is the law, and not because they charge extra for full service, but because they just think it is a nice thing to do.

I like Citgo because they're always $0.05-0.10/gal. cheaper than the other stations in town. I also go to Sunoco once in a while because they're one of the few stations around here that actually has 91 octane. Most just have 87, 89, and 93/94. I've never noticed a performance or mileage difference between the various major suppliers.

I mostly use the Mom & Pops store that is 1/4 mile from my house. They use Citgo & usually have pretty good prices. I don't like supporting Citgo but I do like supporting my little neighborhood store

I also mostly use Citgo. Good quality and reasonably priced vs other brands.

Once in a blue moon I use Chevron or Mobile.

Probably I have used Amoco once on a roadtrip.

I avoid Shell. Too expensive.
