Not that I know of. If
you really want it, I
could buy it for you, and
then send it to you. Just
an idea.

Do you keep that thing on constantly or only when god forbid you break down or get a flat?

I have a friend who had one on his MCS when he wrecked. They went to tow him and it snapped off.

This one is mainly for looks. Well, almost completley.

The stock one that came with the car will not snap when towed under normal conditions...

I was just thinking the same thing. The worst part? It rendered the front tow point useless. Thank God he had a spare for the back!

Tow hook

I have mine on Front and Back constantly, and when I was towed (front tires disintegated at 17K), they were both used without problem.

He's pretty fussy about his cars. I don't imagine he would have put anything cheap on his S. As for installing it, it's just a screw-in, and it broke off on the inside, pulling the threads as well as an inch of the threaded hook.

Look in the battery compartment and you'll find a black styrofoam piece stuffed between the battery and the compartment wall. Pull it out and open it. The tow hook is there along with a few other items. Its a "hidden MINI thing" .

Here it is:

It's not in with the jack - it's in a foam compartment in the BATTERY COMPARTMENT. It looks like the foam's there to cushion the battery, but actually it opens up. Inside should be the hook, a wheel cap tool, a box-end wrench and a screwdriver, as I recall.

If you want the hook rubber coated LET ME KNOW.

Sorry to hijack your thread but this gives me a great idea!

I can take the stock unit to a machine shop and have them make virtually anything you want.

It could hold your favorite badge until it is needed!

It could be made to look like a small toungue!

It could be made to look like a small xxxxx, well you know!

It could be made to look like small finger! (don't pull it)

The possibilities are endless!

Well, I know people make license plate frames that fit in there, so sure, why not?
