I got this email from MINI Financial Services about the MINI credit card with customize MINI pic, I thought it's kinda cool to have a credit card with MINI picture on it. So I applied online ... 4-5 days later I got the letter that I'm approve for X amount of money and my card will be arrive in 7-10 business days. 3 weeks passed by, no card, so I called the customer service line,
1st rep said "We have a problem with the printing so ALL the cards are delay"
10 more days passed by, I called again
2nd rep said "oh, it didn't get sent out til 2 days ago"
5 more days passed by, I called again
3rd rep said "wait longer it's not 10 business days yet"
5 days later, which was last Saturday, I called to cancel the card that they claimed it's in the mail and issue me a new one.
4th rep said "We'll issue you a new card with rush delivery so you'll get it by Tuesday for sure, but you have to be home and sign for it"
So it's cool, I work at home most of the time. However I just gave them a call to confirm that it's coming tomorrow for sure and guess what they said
5th rep said "I see that we blocked your card but no new card issue or anything about rush delivery"
All I can said about them is they're bunch of liar .. say whatever to get me off the phone.
Thing that make me mad at the most is why lie .. I don't care if they said it will take 2 month, I can wait. Don't say that it sent out just to get me off the phone.

My first one got lost in the mail, and it took forever to get the second one, but I finally have it, and it looks awesome, even has the JCW wheels and wing on it! Sorry you had even more trouble getting yours.

The way many companies handle customer service, you'd think that they're so profitable that they don't even need or want your business.

Well, as much I'd love a card with a pic of my MINI on it; after reading the thread initiators story as well as the other respondents comments: no thanks. I've also heard other stories about getting the card on time, but the car design was wrong. GREAT idea, but poor execution. IMHO

Same thing happened to me. Maybe that was just a common ploy of theirs to explain away their incompetence. Also, a week after the first two (for my wife and I) arrived, I got another for myself only.

Yeah, my card got lost in the mail, too. I called after several weeks went by, then was directed to call a second number to confirm "with the credit union". So they canceled my first card, and I got two identical cards on the same day about two weeks later. So it sounds like they've got some fulfillment problems, I'd say. Maybe they were overwhelmed by more applications than they expected?
