Ahh! Scratches from Loose Wheel Arch?

I'll have to admit, I have seen this for quite some time, but I just now took some pictures of it.

My right rear wheel arch is leaving scratches. I dont know why, but it is. It has never been hit there, or replaced. Would this be warranty work?

Its not *too* noticable to most, but I see everything.

What do you think?

You might try removing the offending arch & then try to polish those out. If you can't get them 100% out it still may make a big improvement. Having that area repainted would be low on my list of options.

You probably should post this in the Detailing 101 forum.

Well, I'm checking to see if someone knows if this would be warranty work.

If someone wants to, click the and ask the mods to move it to the Detailing forum.

Warranty work.
Don't do the work yourself, the dealer will say you made the scratches. Your car looks stock. If you had aftermarket wheels or lower suspension I would recommend checking for contact with the wheels.

What a shame to see something like that on a Mini. They're almost evenly spaced. Could slightly worn struts cause something like that? (Don't chew me out if I'm wrong...I cry easily. Ha!)

Well, I do have aftermarket springs on the front, but the back ones are stock. I have my 10k mile inspection comming up, so I'll bring it up then.

My best guess is that the wheel arch trim piece is not properly secured?

Can you wiggle it easily?
