Taking the JCW Tuning Plunge

I've set the date for the JCW Tuning install. So the question is " Will I notice a huge difference"? I'm getting a good price on the kit and install. Is there anything I should know about the install? How much faster is this than stock MCS? Any feedback will be helpful. I do not want to do aftermarket upgrades, the car only has 1000 miles on it.

All I can say is that I like mine. I had it done on my 05 before I picked up the car initially, so I can't compare to stock. It is somewhat quicker than my friend's 04 with a 15% pulley, GIAC, CAI, and exhaust, but that's due to the gearing, not HP level. I have also driven a stock 04, and compared to the modded 04 and the 05 JCW, the stock 04 was sluggish off the line.

It's fast AND smooth, a rare combo. And once the sting of the wallet wears off, you'll love it. Just watch out - the other JCW stuff will be calling your name next! Brakes, suspension, wheels... and all of the interior stuff.

You should apply for membership in Team Craptastic. There is a long waiting list, but bribery can grease the skids for you.

One of the cool things about digitally stored information is the ability to easily and quickly search across vast amounts of it...

Why not just get a pulley and CAI?

I went to Helix and got a pulley, CAI, and rear sway bar for under 1K, and the dealer offers the same combo more often than the JCW. More bang for the buck!

The JCW kit might not be the best "bang" for the buck, but it is BY FAR the best integration of parts out there. What you will get is a car that is very smooth, with very linear power and torque available at all rpms over 2000. I absolutely love my JCW!
