Yes, buy a Porsche. Bring in a color swatch and they will paint your brand new car any color you want.

 

If only MINI would listen to me. Then they'd go with my idea to partner with Crayola and allow us to pick any body/roof combination from the big 64 box!

 

That is a big nope. My boss even tryed to get them to paint him a Hot orange hard top, of course they said nope.

it would be nice if they even dumped the box of crayons on the table, closed their eyes and picked 10 colors. Even that would be more exciting that sticking with the neutrals and classics.

 

My computer must be borken I have been touching the screen for a while and MINI USA still dosen't show anything on order.

 

Isn't this request a bit unreasonable to begin with?

Is it possible from the factory....no. But people do do re-sprays...pricey but do-able. Just check out all the fantastic pink (and I saw one orange) MINIs!

Powder Blue? Hmmmm.....let's wait and see what Oxygen Blue (Cooper only) looks like. Perhaps it'll be close enough?

 

Anybody know of a really hi-tech Car available with a supercharger and a perfect suspension and customizable for 21k?

Actually, I do know of only one custom color MINI from the factory in 2002...



A brief description from the owner's website...

The car would be called Apple and would have a Chili Red body with Lime Green roof and wing mirrors. The Lime Green was chosen by DK from the MINI fashion accessories brochure (DK was later informed that the colour was called "Ford Signal Green").

I am not trying to mock or make fun of your question. Rather, I really do think its unreasonable to ask any carmaker selling a car that is less than the average car sold in America to provide custom paint. Its very unreasonable. Like I asked, name one low end car company doing that. If you got one, I would like to know.

All cars are "customizable". Go to any car dealer you want, pick out the options you want, and order it exactly like you want. You do realize that you can order most any car from the factory the way you want it?

"Perfect suspension?" Where does that come from. If it has a perfect suspension, why is it that the very first thing most enthusiasts do is to change it?

 

No black roofs?

And no metallics?

 

I know, it is sad isn't it? I wanted a black one with orange roof for a Harley Davidson themed MINI, but I'm out of luck. . . .

I'm going the opposite way. When it's eventually time for a paint job on Alice, I'm going international distress orange wherever there is currenly yellow, and keep the black where there is currently black.
I was thinking metallic orange, but I think it would look kinda weird with the non-metallic black of the roof, grille, scoop and boot handle. Or I could get those all repainted metallic black at the same time.

 

By a white MINI and a box of Crayola's and color it in yourself.

 

A friend of mine ordered a Chevy Dualie through a fleet dealer and was able to get it custom painted from the factory. It was pretty cool they painted it a bright tangerine.

 

Give me non-metallic brown | silver
