R50/53 My Mini feels like a Tank
My Mini feels like a Tank
My Mini feels like a Tank compared to my new ride.
And, not only does it feel like a tank it sucks the juice like a pig, when compared to my new ride.
Today when I went to pick up my daughter at practice with the Mini it reminded me of driving a Limousine.
See my new ride, I call her “Killer Bunny”.
But I still love my limo, the Mini.

To some degree, I know how you feel. When I get out of the classic Mini and into the MINI, it feels HUGE.
Nice scooter.
Alburquerque doen't get that much bad weather, and then you take the MINI.
99% of the time, my back seat is completely unused.
MP3 players work on scooters.

Actually, I find its the SUV drivers, drinking coffee/applying makeup/talking on the phone who keep trying to change lanes into me. Generally, the semi drivers seem to be more focussed on the road and cars around them.
LOL Argo. Only problem is the big rig drivers actually seeing something that small, even when they're looking!
However, the one song you must play now when riding: Bad Motor Scooter by Montrose.

Hmmm, that makes me think I should put a Radiohead sticker on my car. This one:

Maybe with the Radiohead sticker in the bottom left of the rear window, and an Apple sticker in the right corner. Hmmmm.
Is that the new Buddy scooter from Genuine? I've heard nothing but good stuff about them. I am a long time classic scooter guy (got my first Vespa in '82) but the automatics have become very attractive lately. I may go with the new GT250 Vespa in the future but my present project beast is a '64 Lambretta

Killer bunny wants to say one last thing
This being a Mini forum an all I don’t want take up much space talking about my scooter but I just wanted to point out how nimble, sporty and thrifty
a scooter can be. It is not a freeway animal, and she only runs in fair weather. No need for tunes the open air has its own music which only the soft
top people really understand. She takes a passenger but like the mini the back seat is limited.
My 04 MCS has the long first gear so even with a pulley it is slow off the line, as a matter of fact unless I give the Mini a revving clutch slip start the
scoot will beat my Mini for the first few feet, then with a whine the Mini will over haul the scoot. Under normal driving situation I will out accelerate
most people across the intersections. She has a top speed a little over 65 but anything over 50 starts getting uncomfortable because of the wind
buffeting and the poor little power plant is struggling. She is a Buddy 125, I get over 100mpg and with work only about 8 miles away she will be my
main driver to and from work while the weather is good.
Indecently though we see her as a scooter, the faithful scooter people find her almost offensive because she is so reliable and uses 4 strokes for a
cycle and ugh well let me just say most hard core scooter people have a life unique in it’s self.
But that’s life and I’m lovin the scoot as much as when I first drove my Mini.
Oh yea if anyone does get a scoot I suggest getting a reputable one, not the cheepo ones, after all you got a quality car and you should know the
difference between the good stuff and and …. the not so good stuff.

Here in New Mexico it is required to have a motorcycle driver’s license for any
two wheel that has over x amount of cc’s under which they are not allowed
on the road, freeway driving have special requirements that I am not sure
of but that doesn’t matter to me because I will not be taking her on the them.
Indecently I am also required to have a insurance as well, but that is easily
affordable $76 for the year, plus $48 annually for uninsured motorists.
There was rain the other day so I took the Mini, what a luxurious machine,
parking was a bear though.
Is that a Kymco? My wife has a Kymco People 150, we are into the mid size
not yet thinking of the larger scoots.
