Door Insert Repair

I am pleased to say that I am a proud owner of a Dark Silver Mini Cooper S. I bought the car used and I absolutely love it. There is one cosmetic thing I would like to fix though, the interior door inserts (silver) are worn and I was wondering if anyone had advice. I could only find carbon fiber door panels to replace them but I don't want to spend $400. Is there a touch up paint or anything I could do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The anthracite finish (dark metallic grey) is very durable but the normal light silver is not. You can't easily remove the silver door pulls but you might mask it and repaint the silver with a more durable coat and clear coat over that. The leather arm rest might be removable by prying it out then possibly gluing it back in.

Other owners have repainted the door pulls.

Here is a how to for painting the tach anthracite
