Hmmm...My dealer has provided me with a

short list of items to activate or deactivate before I take delivery. I had to ask for it as hey did not offer.

The choices are:
1. Daytime Running Lights (The low intensity hi-beams stay on switched on and car in gear.) default: Not Active

2. Selective Central Unlocking (When feature is active, the first time "unlock" button is pressed, only the drivers door is unlocked. The second press releases all locks.) default: Active

3. Central Locking (Increase feeling of security from doors being automatically locked after exceeding 10mph. Doors can always be unlocked from inside at any time.) default: Active

4. Follow-Me-Home-lights (When active, the driving lights remain on for selected time after the high beam switch is activated momentarily [high beam flash] with ignition off. - 40,90,150, or 240 seconds.) default: Not Active

Are there any choices that are not on this list? My BMW 330 also had choices available, but the list was substantially longer (15 choices or more). I would hate to miss something and have to return to the dealer to get it activated/de-activated. TIA

If you have auto locking @ 10mph, you can also have auto-unlocking when you stop and switch off.

If you have manual wipers, there used to be a "smart wiper" option that slowed them down when you stop moving.

You can have a "bell" to indicate low fuel.

The "convenience opening" option to wind down the windows by holding the remote key unlock button might still be available but is not recommended due to the ease of accidentally pressing the button if it's in your pocket!

Check out the PDF here - 2006 shouldn't be much different.

Here's what mine has, and I love it.

Auto unlocking when I turn off the car (though I wish it would ONLY unlock the drivers side for safty).

Comfort Opening - click the unlock button three times and hold it (to NOT accidently do it!), rolls down the sunroof and windows. I use this at least twice a day.

Daytime Running Lights

Selective Central Unlocking

Follow-Me-Home-lights

They changed me $50 for it, but since you haven't taken delivery yet I believe (could be wrong) that they should do it for free.
