My driver's side seat squeaks like CRAZY unless it is in a higher position. I prefer the lower positions but it squeaks too much! Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Is there something I could oil or something???

Thanks.

Is it an up-down sqeak or a side-to-side sqeak?

Kind of a known problem with the seats. My dealer has indicated that they know how to fix them. Mine just started groaning. I plan to have them look at them at the oil change service.

Mine isn't doing it yet, but I'll keep an ear open for it.

Mine also squeaks. More of a creaking actually.
I haven't had any time to leave my car with service to get it fixed.
Motor City Mini says they need to keep it all day to really nail down the problem but,
if there is a known fix, maybe it would negate the need to keep my car all day.
Does anyone know exactly what the fix is?

I had the opposite problem...Creaky seat when raised, quiet when lowered.

I have almost 5K on my MCS now and have heard many squeaks and rattles. The good news is that these all seem have an "annoy the crap out of you for several hundred miles" stage followed by a "pretty much gone for good stage". Be patient and it should work itself out.

Seems to be both. But more recently I have noticed it is more of a side-to-side squeak.
