R50/53 My Black S Scoop
Niiiiice. You didn't go with the carbon fiber? I think that would look cool on the Dark Silver too. And I definately like the bonnet stripes that contrast with the roof and mirrors. A great unique MINI! Five Stars! Great! Can't say enough good about it! I think you get the picture.
Awesome!
I like what you did with the stripes... I've been meaning (if I can spare the cash one of these days) to do that myself. The Black with white edges would look pretty sharp on my BRG/W MCS!!!

I am going to do the same.....One question ....How in the hell do you live with all that snow??? That is unreal !!!!! Coming from a guy who has never seen snow. Don't get much down here in South Florida.
I dunno. I admire the effort, but it's honestly not what I'd probablly do. I'm not sure I like the way the white roof/mirrors and the black nose looks together. Honestly I think white stripes and a white scoop might look better. But that's why we each have our own brain. So we can think for ourselves.
BTW, what did it cost to get painted? And is that the paint code from the black top or cosmos or...?

Thanks everyone.
I bought the scoop from Schomp MINI for $48. I didn't want to paint my stock scoop, because I may want to go back to Dark Silver.
I just painted it myself with black car spraypaint. Not really all that hard to get good coverage with spray paint.
I'm not really sure the carbon fiber look is worth the extra cost, since you really couldn't tell it was carbon until after you were practically standing on top of the car. Plus, I like how the stripes and the scoop are the same.

Hi Dave,
I have followed your posts ever since the roadfly days. Loved the Canada trip pics!!
I just picked up my MCS 1 1/2 weeks ago and added chrome mirrors and am getting the cooper chrome grill on Friday. I was also thinking about getting an extra hood scoop and having that chrome plated but am holding off because it just might be too much chrome up front. I do like the contrasts of changing the scoop colors and am surprised that people have not gotten the idea of trading parts at some of the meets.

Thanks for reminding me about those Canada Pictures.

looks good. I just got my aero grills, and I am wondering about a black scoop , maybe even the gutter screen mod to match.... I am not to worried about getting cigarette butts in my intercooler (God, thank you for letting me live in the country), but it might look cool on my Indie/Indie without impeding ar flow.
>>Next thing: Lose the white mirrors. The chromes look great and bring out the black mirror stems which coordinate well with the new scoop.
