After putting in almost 14 000 km's in under 10 months, i finally brought in the MINI for it's first oil change and inspection. The results: the MINI is still brand new with about 10% brake wear and as a reward they gave me a year subscription to MINIInternational Magazine ...oh joy for me...and i got espresso with cookies because i was there at 7:30 in the morning. YOU BETTER ****EN GIVE ME COOKIES! That's it, thanks...

aww. great story. thanks for sharing. My mini's going in after 450 miles. mostly due to manufacturer defects.

passenger door handle cover keeps falling off when someone tries to open the door from the inside.

Rims are scraped up on all four wheels on the inner lip. (probably due to shipping)...

 

Today was my first visit too. Had 12,400 miles on it. (got it Feb. 12, 2006) Got all 7's left on my pads (whatever that means),have to be below 3.5 to get new brake pads.

Got bagels with cream cheese. Would have like some cookies though.

 

Wow ...i really don't know what to say to that but best of luck to you. Doesn't it bug the s*** out of you when you buy a new car and within months it has problems? Especially small problems...i had my chrome cover around the button of the E-brake snap out when i pulled it up, after 5 months, yes, small thing but annoying...good luck once again.

I believe that "7's" means that your left with 7mm until your brake pads have nothing left. But i can be wrong...hmm cream cheese bagel...bagels hmmm montreal's fairmount bagels....hmmm and humus.....

My '05 MCS has not been back for anything at the dealer, except the scheduled 10K oil service stop. That's it. Rock solid car. 15.5K miles and 16 months later, this car as smooth as the finest butter.
