On the new Morgan Aero 8 -

They also get the V8 (and probably the transmission) from BMW as well.

Maybe they wanted the squirters on the outside so they would clean the grille too? Morgan is a nutty bunch.
Man those things look awesome on that car.

im guessing it looks less cross eyed with the reversed headlights. i know its just the squirters that get reversed and thats a minor detail, but for most people even minor details like that can affect teh perception of a cars looks
On the MINI these lights wrap slightly around the car - they don't sit completely 90 degrees. Morgan was obviously looking for that concave front, so they probably switched the lights R to L to accomodate this.
I'm betting the angle the lights sit at (see the Morgan from another angle) are the reason they're reversed. Although I might be giving them too much credit...
I kinda like the Aero 8, but I feel they screwed up the thing by making it cross-eyed. I've seen one live and in person, and that was still the first thing I thought. So close....
