R50/53 17" rough riders!
I bought my mcs 12/07/02 in Indianapolis, then moved to Maine on the 11th. Since moving to Downeast Maine, I've become familair with something called "frost heave". What it means is, the roads here suck! When temps stay below freezing, there are very harsh bumps everywhere. Then when the temps rise, the bumps turn into roller coaster like dips and rises. If only I had known, I would have bought the 16 inchers. But of course, the 17's look way cool. Guess you can't have everything. Oh, by the way, the shifter feels great when in minus double digits. lol
I know what you mean. I put 16's on for the winter and the ride is sooo much nicer. From harsh to cushy. Debating leaving them on for the rest of year. I'll take the dedicated snow tires off and put the 16" runflats on and let the 17's sit in the garage.
Where in Maine? I have a place up near Baxter State Park and there are some wicked good roads for MINI driving. If you are in Maine then you mayWant to Attend this Event in New Hampshire

Cushy? You want cushy?
I put on 15 inchers for the winter. They were amazing in the snow and felt mahvelous! But - the 17" are now on and my back hurts.
Toronto is being awarded the "Pothole Capital Of The Universe" Award next Tuesday. It's being televised.
Freakin' awful roads here.

Wow, that sounds like fun. I live in East Kingston, NH. If I get my MINI in time, I just might join you...
