Dashboard Warning Issue After Replacing ABS Sensor

Hey gang,

Just want to say first that I love this forum. I'm very new when it comes to the Mini world and I feel this is the go-to place for help.

Anyways, a little backstory I guess is in order. I bought a 2005 Cooper S 6 Speed and it currently has about 135k on it. I went to my "now former" go-to shop here in San Diego to get my brakes / rotors done. He installed some ceramics because I guess they dont make that gritty black powder over time. I thought it was a good idea. Sadly about a day after I got the car back I got the tire pressure, ABS, and automatic stability control lights on. I also noticed that when I the car first warms up when I brake it feels rough. I'm not really sure how to describe it but if you were to imagine the wheel spinning and you're breaking it's supposed to be smooth but now it feels like there's rough spots. I went back to the guy and he first replaced the ABS sensor. After doing that it still doesn't work so now he's saying that it could be the sensor inside of the wheel bearing?

Does this make any sense to you guys or can anyone help me out in trying to find a solution?

Without having it scanned with a BMW/MINI scan tool you're going to be guessing as to what is wrong.

sounds like when I had a wheel speed sensor go because I had a wheel bearing blow up. Do you have any noise like loud tire noise? I'd be surprised if the mechanic had anything to do with it, probably just unlucky timing. I think that there are scan tools out there that can tell you what's wrong and which bearing it is even. You won't find it at auto zone but a good shop should have one and might scan it for free.
