in a few days im going to be (flying) out of town for a little less than two weeks. i was wondering if theres any suggestions as to what to do to prep the car for its longer than avereage time off of being drive. i have a cover to store it under, and i figure im going to disconnect the battery, anything else i should do, or am i really just overreacting?
what can i say i love my mini and i want ot make sure i come back to it in tip top shape and having takne all the necessary precautions when leaving town without your mini (or car)

Ran like a champ when I got back. (Hey, it's a MINI, not an Aztek!)
Disconnecting the battery for that long might cause you to lose your radio station presets, among other settings.

While I can't say I have left the mini for 2 weeks, I will typically leave my car for extended periods of 2 weeks or more. DON'T WORRY!
It will start right up on your return, and will not have even missed you

I've lost my car in a parking lot for more than two weeks. Wash it, cover it, and hide the key where none of your 'friends' can find it.

You can always ship it out here to SoCal. There're plenty of wicked mountain roads I can "exercise" it on. (hairpins, sweepers, 6,000-foot elevation changes, off-cambers, etc.) Originally Posted by -V-

I've left Wanda home for up to a month, and she fired right back up when I turned the key. I wouldn't disconnect the battery. But I would hide the keys...

I was out of the country for over three weeks in February and didn't do anything to the MINI before I left. No problems on returning home.
However, spending three weeks in Italy seeing MINIs everywhere and not able to drive one was a major BUMMER!
