i had it coming out of my tail wiper too until i ran out of fluid. i left it dry for a week or two... then filled it back up and it hasnt done it since. but the fronts are a new issue.

btw-the tail leak left a nasty, nasty stain. zymol seems to be helping it a bit...

Check this link out:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t=washer+fluid

It's caused by the Cosmoline rustproofing material used when the cars come across the pond.

Being STUCK with 100 MINI owners is a DREAM! We could be entertained for days talking about our MINI's....

Oh, and yes, the problem is quite serious, and well known. The chemicals in the washer fluid ruin the paint. Just use it all (get rid of it anyway you can) and dump it. Replace with just water.

Yep... Cosmoline.

Use a microfiber and WD-40 to remove the bulk of it. A ghost might stick around for a while, depending on color (lighter = more likely to get the ghost) and time it was on the paint. Give it a while and 99% of the ghost should disappear (a month or 2).
