Electric Blue color RETIRED!!!???

Is this rumor true? The Electric Blue color has been retired. I was told this by one of the Mini Sales guys in Nashville Tennessee.

It's no rumor. Electric Blue was killed off at the end of 2005 production.

I always thought it was goofy that you could buy a EB MC in Canada, but not in the US.

That just makes our cars that much more rare and special. And it makes them (and us owners), more unique!

I moved up my purchase by a year (I have a late-summer '05--I made the order deadline by only a few weeks) just to make sure I got Electric Blue. It's too bad they got rid of it, but I'm glad I got mine.

They look great all the time! Of all the colors, the EBs show dirt the least. After Jet Black, EB is my favorite color.

You're saying that you could buy a MC not an MCS in EB?? I thought it was exclusive to the MCS???

No, you can also get an MC in EB. Though, that *might be UK or Europe only...I'm not sure.

EB was available on the MC in most markets around the world. In the U.S. it was only available on the MCS.

EB's Rule!!
I wanted an EB since 02, but when I finally went to order my MCS in October of last year, I was informed it was not being made in 06. ARRRGGGGHHHH!!
I went on the hunt to find a leftover 05, but could not find what I desired, soooo, I ordered an 06 in BRG, 2 weeks later I stopped by the local Mini dealer to see how things were progressing, and low-and-behold, an emaculate 02 in EB just traded in with only 15k on the ticker.
Needless to say,
I drove it home that day........

EB always looks good but when its all shined up and sitting in the bright sun is when the color really pops out. Absolutly stunning.

At least we still have Purple Haze and Liquid Yellow to help us get over the loss of Electric Blue. . . .

Wash my EB MCS, wax with Meguire wax, it shines anytime, especially at night in those bright parking lots of cinemas.

I also love how EB looks at night. It is a chameleon and looks so different and the color looks richer and deeper.

Not for long, they are going away too if they havent already.

I almost got a EB/W but i wasnt ready to buy at the time so i got Hyper Blue instead which was originally my first choice anyway but something about that Electric Blue really stood out to me.
