Mini One...

I'm over in Europe for the time being, and they sell a wide variety of Mini's, to include Mini One, Mini OneD (D for diesel of course), and the Mini 7. The Mini One is a 1.2L engine and about 92hp, but of course Europeans love it cuz of the emissions output. The diesel is a little bigger engine and of course goes off diesel, which over here is cheaper than regular gas, and the Biodiesel is even less expensive than there diesel, to be exact 85 euro cent a liter, which turns out pretty reasonable, comparably. The Mini 7, well not sure yet, just saw it at the dealer when I was ordering some parts, didn't have time to take a look, was on lunch break. Not sure if this is old news, thought you might like to know, figure the US might start letting these in, since we're pushing towards eco-friendly cars.

Brethan, "Diesel" in that context does not mean the engine-concept, but this special, unique Mini is designed by the famous italian company "Diesel" http://www.diesel.com

Open the ebay link and you'll find all details.

The base is a "normal" Cooper Convertible with 1.6l - 115hp

The Mini One, selled in Germany and many other european countries is not a 1.2l - it has the identical Cooper engine, it is restricted to 90bhp only by using a different ECU-software..

1 or 2 europ. countries (Portugal, Greece?) are selling 1.4l Minis with 75hp.

Mini 7, Parklane, Checkmate.. are only special models with different styled interieur/exterieur - you can also find it on www.mini.co.uk

Hmmm, a Copper Cooper. There's a marketing angle for BMW.

I wonder if the cotton denim roof will shrink when washed?
