It Happened

Alright - it finally happened - got my (new to me in Oct) 03 Cooper crinked last night.
Seems a deer wanted to be where I was on the Maine turnpike, just managed to avoid taking the sucker over the hood and using the quickness of the Mini, I swerved and took the glancing hit on the front left headlight, side and driver's door. Yep, she came from over the guard rail, running full bore out in front of me!
It does give me a chance to take care of the stones pits on the front that I inherited from the previous owner.
Question - any of you taking advantage or have experience with the plastic system that goes over the front end and seems to be almost invisible?

No ouch

Wife and I are fine - did get the heart rate up exponentially.
Could have been much worse - car did make it easy to miss the most of it.

Glad to hear everybody is ok and the MINI didnt get hurt too bad. As of right now, how bad is it though? Enought to claim to insurance or are you thinking of just having this done on your own money?

Adjuster Quote

According to the adjuster - just under 3 grand to make it right.
Have a good body shop - my nephew runs it - so I will get a good job done.

Get all of the chips in the front done, the Steibel horn put in while the bumper is off and talk about a clear guard solution.
